MY take on marriage.

A LOT of people in this country have a VERY bad view on this word, "marriage". And this actually makes me SUPER sad. I feel like they are missing out on one of the most beautiful things we have been given on this earth. I know I totally sound like some idealistic little girl who believes in fairy tails or something...  "naive"! And considering that fact I HAVE only been married for about 7 months now, maybe I do have a bit of all that in me. But I ALSO have been asking people on the streets all over America about this topic for the past couple of months, and have been hearing a good amount of cynicism to keep me in reality. And I hear what they are saying... "well, I have never been with a guy who hasn't cheated on me..." or "well it didn't work for my parents, so why would it work for me?". I don't think I would want to get married either if were those people. But then I think... why don't we just do what people have done throughout history. LEARN FROM OTHERS MISTAKES! haha. I know it isn't always that easy, but I feel like if I use this method, I will live a happier life. I know that divorce rates are higher than ever before, but that didn't stop me from marrying my man. I look at the statistics as a sobering reminder to keep up our communication, be as selfless as possible, and to make sure we are constantly on the same page. Nathan and I have been asking married couples from all over the place what to do and what NOT to do to make our marriage last a lifetime. And I have been soaking up every word. I want to make my marriage work. I want to grow old with Nathan Scott Fray. Last night me and Nathan purchased our first tree. We picked it out, then went to good old Walmart and bought a ton of Christmas decorations!!! It was the best day ever. Decorating OUR house, and making our own silly traditions. With Nat King Cole Christmas Record playing in the background... I was the happiest girl in the world. Marriage to me, right now, is living life with my BEST BEST BEST friend... who happens to be the hottest guy EVER. not too bad at all. I want to shout it from the rooftops... I LOVE BEING MARRIED.haha

Speaking of marriage, I helped shoot a wedding in SC a couple weeks back. Here are a few shots that I LOVE LOVE LOVE :)
