My husband and I just recently got back from a 2 week vacation in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. This place was my kind of place. It took only about 4 minutes to walk to the beach from where we were staying, so we were there quite a bit. We both learned how to surf although Nathan was a bit more, shall we say… “committed”. But I did way better than I thought I would. So, while he was out there in the crazy humungous waves, I was laying in the shade reading, listening to music, and napping! haha what a life !
We both travel quite a bit so we have the packing thing down to a science, but on our way to the airport at 5:00 a.m. we realized that we had forgotten the camera bag at our house and there was no time to go back and get it or we would miss our flight! So we had to swallow it. I was nauseous the entire flight to Atlanta, thinking how I was going to witness all this beauty without my 5D! But I realized that maybe this was a good thing, maybe I should LOOK at the sunset with my own eyes rather than behind a camera. When we landed in Atlanta on our way to our next flight, we caved and bought a little point & shoot camera at a kiosk. haha. It doesn’t take very good photos, but it IS waterproof so we got some cool shots in the waves!
Vacation is so needed sometimes. Me and Nathan got to escape from life for a little while and just be together. We celebrated the best 2 years of my life, being married to Nathan Fray! We would hang out on the beach all day, then go out at night! Date Night EVERY night. It was sooo needed for my heart. So much connecting time, and so much fun.
Here are some shots I took with a little disposable we took with us :) They actually turned out pretty cool.
